Over the last week I've worked my way through all of them, tasting a few with customers, and hauling the rest home to slurp down after work. • Emmanuel Rouqette's 'Blanc de Blancs' from the Loire, a dry blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay

• An old-vine dry Sylvaner from my favorite new Alsacienne winemaker, Etienne Simonis.
