I prefer life to be simple. There's a whole lot of "complicated" in the wine business. But wine doesn't need to be perplexing all the time, especially when it's this hot outside. Open it, pour it, enjoy it. That's how it should go. Crisp summer rosé is a great example.

That's why we've declared August rosé month at Corkscru.

All month, Yamile and I will have six different rosé wines available by the glass for $3/each, from 11am-6pm, Tuesday thru Saturday.

How's that sound?

We hope you'll step out of the convection oven that is Portland, cool yourself (we keep the AC set at 65,) enjoy a glass, and maybe pick up a few bottles for your fridge. I even have some light reds around that taste that much better with a bit of chill.

This Friday at 4pm, we'll expand the lineup with some Loire Whites from Hautes Noelles, and the slightly spritzy and delicious Si's Plau from Chateau de Rey--the favorite from among last quarter's "6 for $66" white 6-pack.

Last, need a "party-sized" bottle of rosé?? We have about 20 left Veronique Lombardo's incredible Lirac Via Secreta in magnum. $35 lands you one. Come and get it, or just reply to this email and I'll put one aside...
