Hey friends,

Short and sweet today, heading into the weekend. Specifically I'd like to call your attention to one of my favorite parts of Europe, the great Pyrenees mountain range that separates the Iberian peninsula from France and the rest of Europe. I love the eastern end where they meet the Mediterranean and cities like Narbonne, Perpignan, Girona, and Barcelona form a Catalan backbone.

Everything is to love here--from food, wine, history, culture, and the warm people (both French and Spanish), there's a little something extraordinary around every corner. I'm all jacked up just writing about it!

So...

If you're around today, from about 3-6pm, or tomorrow from noon-4pm, why not swing by the store to taste some wines from the eastern Pyrenees? We'll open tasty bottles from Mas Karolina (lovely, concentrated reds, whites and pinks) and Chateau de Rey (a quick slurp of her 100 year old vine Muscat is worth it). I'll be on hand to chat you up and introduce you to new Cru team member Tom Caruso--a Philadelphia guy, with a great writing and winemaking story!

OR...

Join us there. I'm not kidding. Elizabeth and I just added our 5th and final trip of 2018 and it will be a doozy. Starting in the walled city of Carcassonne and ending south of Barcelona, we'll spend 10 days traversing those eastern Pyrenees, stopping along the way for great bread, special sweet wines, the famous tielles of Sête, fish on a plank, and some of the best, small wineries in Europe. This will be an active trip too, with hikes on part of the famous Camino de Santiago, the beaches of Collioure and Begur, and the high mountains near Andorra. Dates are set for October 23rd-November 2nd--a great time to be in this warm and sunny part of Europe.

The tour is limited to just 8 travelers, at $4000 per person. Travel by Icelandair is pretty affordable at this time of year. You get yourself there, and we'll take care of the rest. Check out this great food and wine tour here. Or just reply and ask me for more details.

Either way, hope to see you soon!

Best,

Dan
