Hi //FirstName//,

Unhand that green beer and grab a stem as we have a nice lineup of Oregon Pinot on deck this week! That's right, imported wines put wind in our sails around here, but we never forget what we have right here in our back yard.

Come by to taste these wines, plus a yummy sparkling Cremant de Bourgogne:

Friday 3/17 from 3pm-6pm

Willlamette Valley has over 700 wineries now, so while it is fantastic to have all this Pinot around, it can be a challenge to find the folks that do it our way. We are all about the small guys who schlep day in and day out in order to bring you beauty and artistry in a bottle. These folks are vineyard managers, cellar rats, and bottling line production experts all rolled in one, and they come from varied backgrounds. The thing they all have in common is dedication.

Jackalope 'Loop de Loop' Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2014 Cherry Grove and Mahonia vineyard fruit from a warm and lingering vintage. Julia Bailey gave these wines a 20 month rest in neutral barrel to tame the warm vintage and create nuance. She has trained under a few of the WV old cadre, Matt Berson and Marcus Goodfellow, who instilled in her sound technical chops and quiet skills of observation. A rising star in Oregon's wine world. ($26)

McKinlay Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2015 Matt Kinne makes his Oregon Pinot as he did in his days at the eponymous Walter Hansel wines in Russian River. Matt utilizes a clonal variety of Pinot he called Hansel in hommage to hisold friend and mentor. Here he lets the gently handled fruit do the talking as he believes a winemaker's job is to "promote the purest possible expression a vineyard has to offer." Amen, preach on... ($19)

REAL Willamette Valley 'Freja Vineyard' Pinot Noir 2014 This is our very own Pinot, made under the watchful eye of our friend Willy Gianopoulos at Freja Vineyard. We purchased just north of 1 ton of fruit and made only 75 cases of this nice, everyday wine. We cheekily use the brand name REAL for our wines, not to be catty, but to do what we do with all our selections--show off small production, handmade wines that you can't find anywhere else. Keepin' it REAL, you know? ($20)

Can't make the tasting but want to try these nice wines? How about a bottle of each for:

Just $59 on a 3-pack

Some good juice for under $20. Just reply to this email with "3-pack" and I'll get a bottle of each ready to go for you. The wines are in-stock and ready to roll!

See you soon.

Cheers!
